Sport Psychology and personal training

Psychological support for athletes

Even the best athletes may seek psychological support and today it is seen as part and parcel of competition and developing the right mental skills to help maintain or improve performance. Just as a formula 1 racing car has a whole team, the finely tuned athlete can benefit from a 1-2% improvement. Even if you are competing at an amateur level, sports psychology can help you achieve your full potential. It’s common knowledge that a large proportion of sport is mental, so why not enhance your minds capabilities. If you have suffered injury, depression or performance anxiety, choking or any other psychological challenge please contact me today for an initial chat.

Supporting athletes when they need it most

Acceptance and commitment therapy

f you are experiencing anxiety, depression or other mental health and life challenges, counselling may be an option to help you work through your experience.

ACT is focused on helping you to live a rich, fulfilled and valued life while allowing difficult thoughts, feelings and sensations to be experienced. Sometimes, people may feel stuck, have emotional conflicts or lack direction.

ACT can help with feeling anxious or depressed, as well as other behavioural issues. Helping you to develop a flexible, growth mindset helps you to feel more fulfilled as a human being. ACT can also support you when accepting things that have happened in life and psychologically free you up to untangle you from difficult thoughts, feelings or sensations. For an initial phone chat please contact me today.

My Philosophy of practice stems from a humanistic approach, meaning I view clients with unconditional positive regard and try to help them reach their full potential in life and sport.
